Tom Blaine Biography
After High School I worked at Ennis Furniture and attended Boise State University graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  I went to work at Albertson’s Corporate Office in Boise and worked there for almost 35 years.  My career was spent as a manager and director in various accounting departments.   My position(s) took me traveling all over the United States and led to many lifelong friendships.
I married Patty Hammer in 1970 and had three children with her.  Sam was born in 1973, Ben born in 1976 and Tobruk in 1980.  Patty and I later divorced but remain friends.  I married Shannon in 1992 and added a stepdaughter Megan to my family.  I also have two daughters in law, Tiffany and Virgi and six grandchildren.  Adilyn, Harrison and Charlotte are Sam and Tiffany’s kids.  Mateo, Lucas and Joaquin are Ben and Virgi’s.  All my kids have lived outside of Boise but they all reside in the Treasure Valley now.
Over the years I have enjoyed running marathons, playing golf, attending BSU sporting events and spending time in McCall. I don’t run marathons now but I still get out there and put some miles in.  I volunteered to help organize several running events and was Race Director of the Boise Downtown Runaround.   I also volunteered for the BSU Alumni Association as Board Member and President, the Bronco Athletic Association as a Board Member and the Albertson’s Credit Union as Board Member and Chairman of the Board.  I have served as a Committee Chair for the Albertson’s Boise Open for more than 20 years.

Shannon and I are retired and spend as much time as we can in McCall.  We also spend a fair amount of time watching our grandkids activities.
