After high school, I graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering.  I started my career with 3M Company in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Four years later, I moved my family back to the Pacific Northwest to take a job at the Hanford Nuclear Site in Richland, Washington.  I enjoyed 39 years of chemical engineering before retiring in 2011.

While at the university I met the love of my life and married Beth Campbell.  Beth, who is a 1965 graduate of Boise High School, received her B.S degree from the university and also did graduate school work there.  Beth and I have three children, five grandchildren, and two grand dogs.  Ann, our oldest, and her family live in the Los Angeles area with three of our grandchildren.  Our older son, David, and his family live in Seattle with our other two grandchildren and a labradoodle puppy.  Our younger son, Mark, lives in St Louis with his wife and a saint berdoodle dog.  One of our pleasures in life is traveling to visit our children and their families several times a year.  We also travel to Idaho often to visit extended family there.  Here in Richland, we are active in our church and have a heart for prison ministry.
