Graduated from Brigham Young University in Broadcast Communications in 1971.  Served an LDS Church mission to Switzerland.  Graduated from University of Utah Law School in 1974 and moved to Washington, D.C. to work for Federal Communications Commission as a trial attorney.  Returned to Salt Lake City in 1980 to work for Kirton McConkie, where I have been for 33 years, currently serving as Chair of the Healthcare Law Section.  Active in a number of community organizations:  Boy Scouts of America (local, National and International), American Cancer Society, Rotary International.  Served in various callings in LDS Church including Scoutmaster, Young Single Adult Branch President, stake president, mission president in Germany Hamburg Mission and Young Men General President for the LDS Church.  Serve on National Presidential Advisory Board for Utah Valley University and on the National Board of the Friends of Bucerius Law School (Hamburg, Germany).  Have served as Honorary Consul for Germany since 1999.  Married Zella Darley (Borah Class of 1966), 5 daughters ("Charlie's Angels") and 14 grandchildren.  Still play banjo when I have time.  Have run two marathons and, more recently, two triathlons ("Spudman" in Burley).   Zella and I are currently preparing to serve a one year Church service mission in the Addiction Recovery Program here in Salt Lake.  Life is challenging, rewarding and good. We're proud to be from Idaho and proud to be Borah Lions!
