I was on the wrestling team for all three years and had a blast going to our sports events especially the football games.  How about these school dances at the Friday and Saturday night dances!!! Trocadaro and Fiesta dance halls.

I enjoyed working on cars and had a 55 Chevy and during my senior year a 35 Ford Sedan that I bought from Dave Huddleston.  I also acquired a 48 Harley Chopper after graduation. Man do I miss my wheels.  My family loved the outdoors and we did a lot of camping, hunting and fishing and was also active in my church youth group and the Boy Scouts.

After graduation I went to Idaho State for one year with my brother Danny and then moved to Seattle with my Dad and Mom and worked for Boeing before joining the Marines in 1967.  I was in the Marines from 1967 to 1971 and was stationed at MCAF New River NC, Quang Tri Vietnam, MCAS Futema, Okinawa and finished my service at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.  My unit in Vietnam was the first Marine Aviation unit to be rotated out of country and transferred to Okinawa.

I met my wife Nancy in 1967, while going through training at NAS Lakehurst NJ. We were called an Airedale because we were in the aviation section of the Corps. After the Marines, I did several different jobs before becoming a flight instructor in Lakewood, NJ.  Enlisted in the Army in 1974 and become a aircraft mechanic and then went on to helicopter flight training at Ft Rucker, AL.  Served 5 years on active duty at Ft Bragg, NC and continued flying helicopters in the Army National Guard.  In 2003, my Guard unit was activated for 14 months during Iraqi Freedom and was stationed at Camp Arifijohn, Kuwait.  I retired from the National Guard in 2005, with a total of 37 years of service.

In 1985 joined Pratt & Whitney, a jet engine manufacturer, during that time I was an jet engine instructor, flight operations engineer and pa special inspector
and retired in 2008.

Nancy and I now in Palmyra PA.  It's in central PA near Hershey and about 90 miles west of Philadelphia

We have three wonderful children.  Tracee born in 1972 (Lakewood, NJ) and Heather and Ricky born in1976 ( Ft Rucker, AL).  And now we have seven grandchildren (Ryan Hollis and Paige Serba born in 2004, Piper Serba and Kara Hollis born in 2007, Lilianna Carre'  born in 2008, Parker Hollis born in 2009 and Jackson  Carrie's born in 2012 and they ALL live near us.  Which is great for PopPop/Poppy and Nanny.
